An iPhone and iPad app that turns your family’s responsibilities into quests. Children earn gems for completed work and spend them on real-life rewards you choose. Parents manage the quests, approvals, rewards, and progress.
Yes. Parents can create rewards such as a cash allowance, extra play time, or a family outing. Kids redeem earned gems and parents provide the reward themselves. Chore Miner does not transfer money, issue debit cards, or automatically control screen time.
Yes. Chores, submissions, and progress save on the device without an internet connection. To share updates, open the apps on authorized family devices nearby. Offline purchases are checked against the family balance when devices reconnect.
Chore Miner is designed for iPhone and iPad running iOS or iPadOS 16 or later. An Android app is not currently available.
You do. Try a trip for ice cream, choosing movie night, extra game time, or a family outing. Set the gem cost and optional task-count or streak requirements. A reward can cost zero gems when you want a habit milestone alone to unlock it. You provide the real-life reward.
No. The whole family can share one iPhone or iPad. Parents enter their PIN for parent controls and manually lock the portal before handing the device back. Separate devices can join using a parent’s invitation QR code.
Authorized family devices connect nearby using Apple’s built-in connectivity. Keep the apps open nearby with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled and allow Local Network permission. Offline work is saved until you reconnect. Internet alone does not enable remote syncing or remote notifications.
Parent approval is required for each quest by default. Parents can choose automatic approval for individual quests. Children cannot access parent controls without parent authorization. On shared devices, remember to manually lock parent mode.
No. Chore Miner has no ads, no subscriptions, and no cloud account to create. Gem rewards are managed by your family; gems are earned through tasks or parent bonuses, not sold in the app.
Each parent device has a recovery code. Another authorized nearby parent can also approve recovery. Parents can export password-protected backups and remove a lost device’s access. Revocation reaches other devices when they sync; it cannot erase data already stored on a lost device. See Support for the full recovery steps.
